HOW TO MAKE: Cook simple tomato-base spaghetti posted at 5:06 PM
So this is one of my signature dish and I'd love to share it with you guys :)
This is sort of like...a Singaporean-styled pasta HAHA just look at the ingredients to prepare, and you'll know why.
Ingredients:
1. Garlic
2. Onion
3. Minced meat
4. Prawns
5. Chicken franks
6. Crabmeat stick
7. Tomato sauce paste
8. Spaghetti
9. Parmesan cheese/Mozzarella cheese is preferred. If not, sliced cheese (what I've used) is fine too
Preparation
Before you begin preparing and chopping, start boil the spaghetti and let it simmer for about 15-20mins until it is soft, add a little salt and olive oil (REALLY JUST A LITTLE) when the spaghetti is getting softer.
Then you can start to prepare the sauce simultaneously!
Chop the garlic and onion into grainy little pieces.
Remember to wash your prawns and rinse the minced meat!
This is not compulsory, but you can choose to dice your franks and crabmeat stick for the ease of chewing and cooking (Gets cooked faster)
I don't usually use this brand but because I am only preparing for 1 serving, I chose this Hunts, and it actually tastes pretty good! I always get Prego, but I honestly feel that.....they taste about the same haha MAYBE this is just a little bit too thick and plain as compared to prego? Prego has like herbs and stuffs without much heavy smell so it's quite good!
Cooking
Heat up your pan and make sure there isn't water on it, then put in your chopped garlic and onion and fry till it turns a little drier, then add a circle of olive oil
Fry until the garlic turns golden brown, not too burnt, and the onion will be fragrant by then as well.
Next, add in the minced meat and make sure they're not lumped together
Fry the prawn with some salt and mix everything together after it turns into a vibrant orange
Next, put in the diced franks and crabmeat stick and mix them altogether.
Finally, add in the tomato sauce with one third can of water to dilute the paste.
Don't forget the sugar to soothe that sour tomato base.
Scoop the cooked spaghetti into a bowl, and prepare to pour the sauce over it
After laying the sauce, add your preferred amount of parmesan or mozzarella cheese. In this case, I didn't include that because I've forgotten to buy hahahahahhaha
Presentation
& WALA, it's done!
Hope these steps will work for you too! ^_^
