Bangkok getaway posted at 3:20 AM

This trip was way back in 2012's September! Travelling with friends are one of the best things you can do! What's more, IT'S BANGKOK! Felicia, Nicholas and I planned this trip's itinerary together and i have a few places that i really think it's worth the mention!

DAY 1
So, it was Louis' birthday and we decided to surprise him. None of us texted him at 12am so he'll probably think that we've all forgotten his special day. So we surprised him before we board the plane! Haha!

And look who i saw! The air stewardess is my Shanghai Tang ex-colleague! HAHA what a coincidence righttttttttttt HAH

And we had our cup noodles for dinner on the plane. And it's $5. YES, FIVE DOLLARS FOR A CUP NOODLE.

And finally, we settled down in our serviced apartment! Abloom Exclusive Serviced Apartment
And because that $5 cup noodles wasn't enough, and it was pretty late, we had to deal with our hunger with 7-eleven foodie hahahha

 DAY 2
We were all hyped and excited about our trip and it was so great to wake up to a beautiful view of BKK! So glad we stayed on level 19 hehe. And there were only 6 tix for the hotel brekkie so i prepared my own breakfast! But my friends said that the hotel breakfast sucked. HAHA so i'm happy i stayed in our apartment haha!

As this is the weekend market, we had to schedule our Chatuchak shopping trip on Day 2

QUAIL EGGS MUST NOT BE MISSED IF YOU'RE IN BANGKOK!

And because we were staying in a serviced apartment, the kitchen must be there for a reason haha!

 DAY 3
Many people do not know that Bangkok actually has a theme park!
Dream World, BKK

We had our dinner at Chinatown (Yaowarat). We had a cheap and delicious seafood meal at T&K Seafood a.k.a. the Green T-shirt restaurant. HAHA. Their competitor are just along that street and they are all in Red T-shirts! Careful not to enter the wrong restaurant!
And it was my first time experiencing flood. We were waiting for cabs and the water just kept rising and rising until the chairs toppled and floated, dirty stuffs from the drains surfaced, and ughhhhhhh dirty water all over. And we can't get cabs because they were all hired/they were charging at a very high price! Then the water rose till my knee level, and we couldn't wait any longer so we just boarded a cab. And when we were reaching our apartment, we suddenly felt like the carpet in the taxi was shaking and there were some kind of force and BAM the water came into the cab. BAM BAM BAM HAHA. But it's really quite fun to experience this (fun, maybe because we know we will be safe :P), but it is not fun at all if it becomes dangerous :/ but still, it's good to say that i've expriences a flooding situation in my live! :D

 DAY 4
Shopping shopping shopping! It was the day for shopping and eating and shopping and eating! HAHA
We went to Platinum Fashion Mall and Pratunam Market, just opposite each other! Pratunam Market feels like Queensway Shopping Centre and City Square in Singapore. Haha and Platinum Mall feels like Far East Plaza in Singapore! Just that it's way bigger. Haha!

 DAY 5
Fun fun and fun day! We slept without setting alarm. Felt so good! And guess where we headed to?

HAHA we went to play paint ball! ^^ It was muddy, dirty, gross, but FUN! HAHA. The gun was really heavy! For me. HHAHA. But it was fun cos we were split into two teams and there was a commentator! And it was really like running, shooting, hiding, haha! very fun!
It's called Combat zone 62 and located at 117 Soi 62 Sukhumvit Bangjar Prakanong.

And then we proceeded to Healthland Spa after a day of "work out". Everyone went for the Traditional Thai Massage. But i chose the Aromatherapy Massage because i have weak joints and i'm very sensitive with all the stretching and popping the bubbles in your knuckles or whatever. So NO TRAD THAI MASSAGE FOR ME. HAH. And for the Aromatherapy treatment, it was such a pleasure! The service there was fantastic!

After which, we proceeded to the well-known Cabbages and Condoms restaurant! Their concept was really interesting - to promote safe sex and to let people know that condoms are as easier to get as cabbages in the market. Haha. We were greeted with condoms as we entered the restaurant. As we went deeper into the eatery, there were just more and more condoms haha! There have soccer jerseys made out of condoms, and we have a table full of condoms (underneath a glass panel) haha! Really interesting place!

 DAY 6
And it was the final day of our trip! As the flight was at night, we spent our day at the Platinum mall for our final shopping spree! And those are our luggages (9 pax) We brought half of those there, and came back with x2 haha! we all bought an extra bag to store all our goodies haha!

We were aware of that over-priced cup noodles but we just can't resist! HAHA.
And finally, HOME SWEET HOME ^^ Ed came and pick me up from the airport and we then proceeded to NSRCC for my sister's 21st birthday celebration! (It'll prolly be my next post ^^)

YAY that's the end of my BKK trip with my friends (Lixian, Sylvia, Felicia, Kelly, Nicholas, Herrick, Louis, and Weekiat). And actually, I AM PROUD TO SAY THAT I AM GOING AGAIN ^^

My next BKK trip is 2 weeks away hehe. This time round, i'm going with my mom, Aunty Regina, my sister, her boyfriend, Carmen and Shanice! Our air tix and hotel are a little over-priced but because it's holiday season so :( but can't wait for the trip! ^^ Till then!
